SIBR Acquisition Manager

Job Summary: 

SIS is looking for outstanding individuals to fill multiple positions of SIBR Acquisition Management roles for awarded programs at the United States Air Force Research Laboratory located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio. You will join a very talented team supporting Air Force Procurement Activities for A&AS SIBR.   

Primary Job Duties:

Establish and maintain productive working relationships with geographically-separated USAF organizations, other DoD services and agencies, and foreign allied partners.

It will require employment of integration, communication, coordination, organizational, and planning expertise to technical and acquisition efforts across a broad spectrum of functional disciplines.

Plans, organizes, and assists in managing critical aspects of the development, production, and/or deployment of systems, subsystems, and equipment.

Assisting in the coordination and integration of such aspects of systems acquisition as engineering, procurement, financial management, environmental management, configuration, test, manufacturing, and integrated logistics support in order to effectively assist in the implementation of program direction.

Assists in the evaluation of contractor proposals and activities.

Performs a wide range of program management activities, such as: gathering a variety of program information; conducting analyses; assisting in acquisition strategy planning; assisting in pre-award and post-award document preparation; assisting in milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling; implementing contractor performance status systems; assisting in establishing and maintaining databases; assisting in developing and analyzing key program metrics; assisting in developing and integrating risk management plans and strategies; supporting program briefings; assisting in surveillance of weapon system prime contractor and subcontractor performance; assisting in determining program progress; and effectively communicating recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management.

 

Required Skills/Education:
 

Minimum of 10 years of Acquisition Management experience (Government or Industry) with 5 of those years spent working in a Defense program office in a team leadership role (project lead, IPT, or sub IPT lead)

Understanding of SIBR

Understanding of DAU – Defense Acquisition University

Prior experience working in AFRL environment

Independent proficiency in DoD MS Office Suite Standard Desktop software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience in MS Project highly desirable but not a requirement

Ability to work successfully in fast paced, dynamic environment

Bachelor Degree

US citizenship is mandatory

Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret level clearance
